Modern Vampire - a romantic, horror movie
Released on 19th October, 1999, Modern Vampire is a horror comedy. This movie is directed by Richard Elfman, and is written by Matthew Bright. The plot involves some of the famous vampire characters from literature like the count Dracula, van helsing. It also has newer characters like Dallas, nico. This film aims in bringing out the true picture of the contemporary lives of the modern society of LA.
The movie entails many plots, the main related to the destruction of the count Dracula. It revolves around Dallas, a young vampire, banished by the count. Nico is turned into vampire by van helsing, without the permission of the count. Nico, posing as a streetwalker, finds her prey on the streets of the LA. She is so martyr, that she is nicknamed ‘Hollywood slasher'.
Towards the end, is the fight put up against the count, in order to save nico and van helsing. Finally Dallas is successful in his mission, and van helsing is portrayed as mourning over his son. All in all, the movie is worth a watch.
